11/30/2023 0 Comments Cisco wifi signal strength dbmSo, will a Cisco Aironet Engineer please provide us with a proper conversion table to replace mine above, or else MY tables could become the de facto standard!! That would truly be scary. To qualitatively assess the signal strength, here's my DBm assessment compared with Cisco's % assessment Unfortunately, non RF guys seem to like % values The Cisco percentage value is some proprietary thing Cisco created for signal strength readings on the Aironet, as RF Engineers ALWAYS work in dB. ![]() See chart above for value range from excellent to worst. In dBm - The Receive Strength Signal Indicator measures the average total received power of the whole band. What we would like is to know the *official* Cisco conversion formula or be provided with a conversion table. In dBm, LTE - The Reference Signal Received Power has a range of -45dbm (good) to -140dbm (bad) - see chart above for actual assessment. ![]() ![]() My *unscientific* conversion table (done by switching between dBm and % readings on a fluctuating signal) is:Īgain, the values were obtained by my reading the ACU Site Survey values on an Aironet AIR-PCM352 card these values have not been calibrated nor were they obtained in a controlled scientific manner. We *know* how to configure the ACU to display dBm or % values, but how do the two values correlate to each other? We are looking for a formula of the form: Table 6.I think what's been asked many times in these forums, but never answered is, "How does one convert a dBm value into a Cisco Aironet % value?". ![]() Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G FCC Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express User License Required Battery/Power Supply Not IncludedĬisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G FCC Battery/Power Supply Not IncludedĬisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G ETSI Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express User License Required Battery/Power Supply Not IncludedĬisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G ETSI Battery/Power Supply Not IncludedĬisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G Japan Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express User License Required Battery/Power Supply Not IncludedĬisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G Japan Battery/Power Supply Not IncludedĬisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G Rest of World Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express User License Required Battery/Power Supply Not IncludedĬisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G Rest of World Battery/Power Supply Not IncludedĬisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G FCC Cisco Unified Communications Manager User License Battery/Power Supply Not IncludedĬisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G ETSI Cisco Unified Communications Manager User License Battery/Power Supply Not IncludedĬisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G Japan Cisco Unified Communications Manager User License Battery/Power Supply Not IncludedĬisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G Rest of World Cisco Unified Communications Manager User License Battery/Power Supply Not IncludedĬisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G FCC Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express User License Battery/Power Supply Not IncludedĬisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G ETSI Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express User License Battery/Power Supply Not IncludedĬisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G Japan Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express User License Battery/Power Supply Not IncludedĬisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G Rest of World Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express User License Battery/Power Supply Not IncludedĬisco Unified Communications Manager User License for single Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925GĬisco Unified Communications Manager Express User License for single Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G
